Institutional Advancement Student Assistant

Job Title: Institutional Advancement Student Assistant

Average Weekly Hours:

10–15 hours per week

Position Description

The Institutional Advancement Student Assistant will provide support to the Office of Institutional Advancement, including Marketing and Communications, Alumni Relations, and Advancement projects. The student will assist with communication, outreach, and administrative responsibilities to strengthen alumni engagement and promote the college’s mission. The position reports directly to the Director of Institutional Advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with social media content creation, digital marketing, and event promotion.
  • Support alumni outreach efforts, including updating databases and preparing communications.
  • Provide general office support such as filing, data entry, and preparing meeting/event materials.
  • Participate in special projects and advancement campaigns.
  • Assist in coordinating events, including preparation and follow-up tasks.
  • Help maintain accurate alumni and donor records.
  • Contribute to the development of promotional materials.
  • Provide professional customer service when engaging with alumni and visitors.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and basic design tools (e.g., Canva)
  • Professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace)
