Ophthalmic Technician / Clinical Assistant (Entry-Level)

Location: South Tampa

 

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in healthcare, pre‑med, pre‑PA, pre‑nursing, pre‑optometry, or other clinical careers. No prior ophthalmic experience is required — we provide full training.

As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will work directly with physicians and patients in a fast‑paced clinical environment. You’ll gain hands‑on experience with patient care, diagnostic testing, medical terminology, and clinical workflow.

What You’ll Do

(Training provided)

Assist physicians during patient exams

Document patient history and exam findings

Perform basic vision tests

Prepare exam rooms and equipment

Support patient flow and clinic efficiency

Provide patient communication and education

Learn diagnostic testing and clinical procedures over time

Work closely with a clinical team in a professional medical setting
