Advanced Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

THE POSITION

The State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is currently recruiting for as Advanced Clinical Social Worker within the Mobile Crisis Team at the Western Connecticut Mental Health Network (WCMHN) in Torrington, CT. In this critical role, you will provide crisis evaluations, rapid clinical interventions, intake assessments, and care coordination for individuals across 19 towns in the CAC 22 service area. You will also collaborate closely with contract agencies, community partners, hospitals, and law enforcement to support effective crisis resolution and promote recovery-oriented outcomes.

ABOUT US 

DMHAS is a health care agency whose mission is to promote the overall health and wellness of persons with behavioral health needs through an integrated network of holistic, comprehensive, effective, and efficient services and supports that foster dignity, respect, and self-sufficiency in those we serve. 

WCMHN was established in 1996 by the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS). It oversees clinical, fiscal, and administrative aspects of mental health services in Region 5. The network operates in Waterbury, Danbury, and Torrington, with over 200 dedicated staff offering comprehensive services for individuals with long-term mental illnesses. 

The Access Center provides Mobile Crisis Services to the 19 towns in the CAC 22 service area, to numerous contract agencies that serve that area, and coordinates care with the local hospital.
